Geek-Art x Caurette
Geek-Art and its partner, Éditions Caurette—the leading French publisher of artbooks—regularly collaborate to produce limited-edition fine art prints for collectors and enthusiasts.
Sold for a limited time through Caurette’s online store, Liber Distri, these prints are numbered, signed, and come with a certificate of authenticity. Available both to the general public and specialized bookstores, each piece is printed on premium art paper by a Bordeaux-based printer specializing in luxury editions.
The Journey Begins is the result of an exceptional collaboration between acclaimed Label 619 comic book artist Mathieu Bablet and Geek-Art. Inspired by Nintendo’s legendary saga, this stunning piece was a resounding success and is now sold out.

About Mathieu Bablet
Born in 1987, Mathieu Bablet is a passionate fan of horror films and B-movies. Freshly graduated from ENAAI Chambéry (School of Applied Arts & Visual Communication), he submitted the presentation file for his first graphic novel to Ankama Éditions. His post-apocalyptic one-shot La Belle Mort was immediately noticed by Run in 2011, who offered to publish it under his Label 619 imprint.
This was followed in 2013 by the breathtaking two-volume mythological fable Adrastée, later released as a collected edition in 2016. That same year saw the arrival of the science fiction phenomenon Shangri-La (75,000 copies sold, GFK), which was selected for the 2017 Angoulême Festival.
In 2018, eager to work on a collective project, Bablet spearheaded the fantasy series Midnight Tales, with four volumes currently available from Ankama Éditions and set to continue as The Midnight Order from Rue de Sèvres. In 2020, still with Label 619, he released his new sci-fi one-shot Carbone & Silicium, winner of the Fnac–France Inter Graphic Novel Prize.
The Journey Begins marks the second collaboration between Geek-Art and this exceptional artist.
