Le Palais des Bains par Mathieu Bablet

Geek-Art x Caurette x Bablet

Geek-Art, in partnership with Caurette Editions — France’s leading artbook publisher — regularly collaborates on the production of limited-edition art prints for collectors and enthusiasts.

Sold for a limited time exclusively through Caurette’s online store, Liber Distri, these prints are numbered, signed, and accompanied by certificates of authenticity.

Available to both the general public and specialty bookstores, each edition is printed on premium fine art paper by a Bordeaux-based printer specializing in luxury production.

Born in 1987, Mathieu Bablet is a lifelong fan of horror films and B-movies. Freshly graduated from ENAAI Chambéry (School of Applied Arts & Visual Arts), he sent the presentation portfolio for his first graphic novel to Ankama Editions. His post-apocalyptic one-shot La Belle Mort was immediately spotted in 2011 by Run, who offered to publish it under his Label 619 imprint. This was followed in 2013 by the stunning two-volume mythological fable Adrastée, later compiled into a single edition in 2016. That same year came the science fiction phenomenon Shangri-La (75,000 copies sold, GFK), which was selected for the Angoulême International Comics Festival in 2017.

In 2018, with a taste for collaborative projects, he launched and oversaw the fantasy series Midnight Tales, published in four volumes by Ankama Editions, which will be followed by The Midnight Order at Rue de Sèvres. In 2020, still with Label 619, he released his latest science fiction one-shot Carbone & Silicium, winner of the Fnac-France Inter Graphic Novel Award.

Le Palais des Bains marks the first collaboration between Geek-Art and this exceptional artist.
